Course Description

Halal certification is a growing requirement for exporters and for the domestic market. A Halal Assurance System is the management framework that makes a halal claim defensible: a halal policy, a halal management team, raw material approval, production controls that prevent contact with non-halal material, traceability, and internal halal audit.

This awareness course covers the requirements and the practical controls, with attention to the specific decision points that cause certification failures: the status of processing aids and carriers, alcohol-derived flavourings, gelatine and enzyme sources, shared equipment, and cleaning between halal and non-halal runs.
